Pine Bedroom upstairs is shown on the right. |
Bedroom configuration:
5 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms. (the sixth bathroom, with a shower and w.c, is adjacent to the utility room, close to the front door for practical reasons.)
Bedrooms can sleep 14 in conventional beds. + another 2 singles or 2 couples sharing the gallery area on sofa beds.
All the bedrooms have lovely new comfy beds and huge cupboards with hanging space and shelves and plenty of floor space in the cupboards for storing all your empty luggage and keeping your bedrooms clutter -free.
Each bedroom has an ensuite, all with monsoon type power showers, a basin and w.c. Some also have big long baths to relax in. Every bathroom has been individually designed with lovely natural tiles. Bathroom 1 on the ground floor is particularly spacious and suitable for wheelchair users with a wheel-in wet floor shower and bath with grab rails. Designed as a Jack and Jill bathroom it can be accessed either from the hall corridor or from Bedroom 1.
Ground floor:
Bedrooms all have plaques above the doors with tree names and an illustration of their leaf, so guests can decide in advance who is to sleep where and head for the right bedroom!
Bedroom 1: ASH. one kingsize bed. (pictured at the very top of this page). Due to popular demand one extra single bed has been added here as a semi-permanent feature ( pictured at the foot of this page ) Bathroom as above with shower and bath. This is the bathroom most suitable for wheelchair users as there is a wheel-in shower wet area.
Bedroom 2: BEECH. either 3 singles or 1 single and 1 superkingsize bed. Ensuite shower room (no bath)

Rowan bedroom is shown on the left. |

Spruce bedroom is shown to the right and now has an extra bed, so 3 single beds here ( see image at foot of page ) |
Both are upstairs |
Upstairs:
Bedroom 3: PINE. Either 3 singles or 1 single and 1 superkingsize bed. Balcony: table and 2 chairs stored in cupboard for guests to use and enjoy the view over the hills, water and fields. Ensuite bathroom has a shower and bath.
Bedroom 4: ROWAN. One kingsize bed. The smallest bedroom with space for a cot only. Ensuite has a shower and a bath.
Bedroom 5: SPRUCE. Two single beds as shown in the photo above + now an extra divan bed as the one from Pine bedroom was moved along so often it seemed sensible to supply a permanent extra bed here. Ensuite shower but no bath.
Gallery Area: (a good size with a closable door but rather exposed above the living area): Two double sofa beds that would sleep 2 couples. Or alternatively use the 2 sofa beds as 2 singles ( slightly narrower than a conventional bed ). This avoids the need to pull out the mechanism, thus making the area far more useful during the daytime as a second living area. It takes just a moment to quickly add two wool bedspreads to the top of the bedding.
This area cannot be completely shut off from light as the unusually shaped high up windows cannot be fitted with blinds. If the sofa beds are in use overnight as double, the bedclothes would need to be tidied into the large cupboard there and the sofas restored to daytime use if you need the living space as an addition to the main living area.
Guests sleeping in the Gallery Area have access to the bathroom adjacent to the Utility Room downstairs.
There is space in Beech, Pine and Rowan bedrooms for one conventional or travel cot to be added.
